As a member-based organization, you are at the core of what makes Phi Chi Theta one of the leading professional business fraternities.
With your membership, you have a community and network of more than 25,000 professional business leaders, comprised of collegiates and alumni across the United States and abroad. All members have access to national programming, events, and resources designed to facilitate their development as professional business leaders.
As a national organization, we entrust our brothers and sisters with upholding our founding principles of Professionalism, Fraternity, and Service.
TEN TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF PCT MEMBERSHIP
- Get Involved – Participate in discussions, volunteer for committees, and take on leadership roles. This will help you develop your professional skills The more you put into your experience, the more you will get out of it.
- Build Relationships – Take every chance to network with your fellow PCT members, officers, advisors and alumni. These friendships you form can endure beyond college and can last a lifetime.
- Sign Up for a Mentor – Every semester, the national Phi Chi Theta office hosts a mentoring program. Utilize the knowledge and wisdom of brothers and sisters who have already graduated and are established in a career.
- Take Advantage – Do you need to find help answering questions about a particular field, career, location or industry? You can use the Connect member directory to reach out to fellow members, get questions answered and build your network.
- Stay Social – Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Join our private LinkedIn group.
- Contribute – The national Phi Chi Theta office produces a magazine called The Iris twice a year. You can submit your own business-related articles and reviews for publication. To submit something, send to iriseditor@phichitheta.org
- Join Us – Come to a national or regional meeting. They are the best opportunity to experience the fraternal PCT bond on a national scale! Plus there are amazing presentations, speakers, and workshops.
- Give Back – One of the most rewarding experiences of being a member of Phi Chi Theta is our dedication to service. Participate in one of your chapter’s community service events, donate to the PCT Educational Foundation, or step up to start a new service initiative.
- Develop Your Professional Skills – All of our chapters host an amazing variety of professional development. Resume workshops, mock interviews, industry speakers, company tours, and case competitions are just a few of the opportunities you have to hone those professional skills.
- Be in the Moment – Don’t forget to take time to notice how far you have come and where you are. You are surrounded with like-minded, dedicated individuals working toward a common purpose. Enjoy the camaraderie!
