ABOUT NATIONAL MEETINGS
Since the inception of our great organization, Phi Chi Theta has held a National Chapter Meeting on a biennial basis. The National Chapter Meeting is an exciting time for this organization.
There are two main reasons that we hold national meetings: (1) to elect new national officers and (2) to vote on bylaw amendments and any business that may require a national vote.
Another important reason that we hold a National Chapter Meeting is to meet people from other chapters across the United States, including collegiate and alumni members. This is a great time for members to share their successes in recruitment, pledging, fundraising, and professional activities. Meeting alumni who have been involved for many years is a good reminder of the strong history of our organization.
Every chapter is required to send one delegate to the National Chapter Meeting. It is a privilege and an obligation as a chapter of Phi Chi Theta to participate in the ongoing business and decision- making of this national organization. If a chapter does not send a representative, it misses the opportunity to vote on key issues surrounding the national organization and the election of the Fraternity’s new national officers.
