Statement on Harmful Content in Digitized Archive

The digitized collections aim to preserve and make available materials relating to the history, development, and operations of Phi Chi Theta. We recognize that some materials from our historical archives dating back over one hundred years can contain content and imagery that illustrates harmful, offensive, and stereotypical depictions of marginalized communities.

Phi Chi Theta does not condone any harmful, racist, or offensive content that may be found within these digitally accessible collections. As an organization, we strive to create and nurture a culture where inclusiveness and diversity is the standard. Phi Chi Theta has a deep sense of pride in the six women who founded our fraternity in that our origins were birthed at a time when women were just beginning to have the rights to attend business schools. We are committed to being a fraternity who strives for excellence in business and innovation while maintaining social responsibility. We know through experience that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and better organization.

The Digital Archives of Phi Chi Theta was created with the desire to make our materials equally and equitably available for our members. As part of this effort, the inclusion of harmful, offensive, and racist materials is meant only to provide a transparent and truthful account of the history of our organization.
